The foundation’s contributions are directed towards self-sustaining developmental projects that can add a permanent contribution towards the areas it works in. The foundation sponsors humane, medical projects, environmental, children, educational, and social programs among many others. The charity is strictly non-political, non-religious.

It also advances financial and other assistance to needy families and areas, it sponsors orphaned children, and awards several university scholarships to qualified students every year.

The foundation also directs some contributions towards the programs of other reputable charities.

Many of the founding members of SGI are donors and contributors to several such charities.

By pooling its members’ donations and contributions under its umbrella, the SGI Foundation makes an obvious difference; first the funds are of considerable amounts, it makes an impact on any cause it goes to support, and by coming from an institutional donor like our Group, we have better means of monitoring the spending and guaranteeing the funds reach the rightful recipients.
